It is with regret, but in view of the changes made by the organisers with regard to the distance and conditions of the bike ride, the team "Security Bikers" has had to withdraw from the event. Apologies are extended to those of you who gave their support.

Gunnebo Supporting the Great British Bike Ride
Gunnebo Supporting the Great British Bike Ride
Gunnebo UK Ltd are proud to be supporting The Great British Bike Ride, which sees four seasoned security practitioners come together to represent the UK Security Profession in cycling from Land’s End to Twickenham from the 1st to 4th September.
The aim of the event is to raise money for three charities, Help the Heroes, the RFU Injured Rugby Players Foundation and the RPA Benevolent Fund.
Gunnebo UK Ltd has donated £500 towards this very worthwhile cause and Nigel Horsfall, UK Security Manager for Everything Everywhere Ltd, who collected the cheque from Gunnebo goes on to comment it is going to be 4 hard days in the saddle and probably one of the hardest challenges I have entered into since leaving the Royal Marines several years ago, but it is for all the right reasons. I would also like to say a big thank you to Gunnebo from the team for their sponsorship.
Jamie Donald, Account Manager for T-Mobile adds “it’s great to be able to support Nigel & team in their challenge, especially as the causes they are supporting as so worthy”
Gunnebo wish all four team members the best of luck and look forward to announcing the final amount raised after the event has taken place.
For further information please contact Jamie Donald on 01902 455111 or email Jamie.donald@gunnebo.com

Security Cyclists Charity Fundraising
As part of the Great British Bike Ride, from Land’s End to Twickenham 1st—4th September, Derek (I used to be a Scotland Yard detective) Webster, along with long-term drinking buddy Chris (don’t mention the privacy laws) Brogan are seeking to re-enact their triumph of 2007 when they cycled from London to Paris: after missing the last Eurostar!
Accompanying them on this journey are Norman Russell and Nigel Horsfall. Nigel has already lost a lot of weight for the event; he has shaved off his moustache!
I have been co-opted as team manager/mascot/cheerleader/fundraiser. I would have joined them in cycling, but apparently there is a minimum age!!
http://www.thegreatbritishbikeride.com/
Please get ready to dig deep as we have an ambitious fundraising target and the benefitting charities are ‘Help for Heroes’, The Rugby Players Association Benevolent Fund and the RFU Injured Players Foundation.
We are also seeking some corporate sponsors for the event.
Please contact me for more information
